Officer Walter Platt received his Second Chance® less than one week before it saved his life. Platt was attacked by a knife-wielding burglar in the process of being apprehended. During the struggle, what Platt thought was a punch in his back was actually several slash marks from the suspect. The knife sliced through the uniform and onto the concealed vest.
