Officer Schepleng was responding to an emergency call shortly after midnight when he attempted to pass another vehicle. Lights and sirens were going full blast. Just as he was alongside the car, the other driver turned in front of Shepleng. The officer’s car overturned, hitting a curb and cinderblock wall. The paramedic stated the back part of Schepleng’s Second Chance® vest was literally “eaten up” by the road surface and without a question he would have been killed.
We welcome Officer Bill Schepleng, SAVE #309, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
