As in all our saves, the police officer never expects “the unexpected.” This save is not that unusual but Officer Chamberlain was glad to have the extra protection when he needed it. Eighteen pellets from a 12-ga. blast struck Chamberlain. Not too unusual until we found that the blast was a ricochet from a fellow officer’s gun aimed at a speeding car running a roadblock.
