A burglar smashed the glass on the front door of the videotape library to gain entry. The not-so-quiet break-in produced Officer Hogue and his partner. As the officers approached the suspect, standing next to his pickup, their flashlight failed to see the .357 coming out of his waistband. His second shot was never found but his first shot hit Hogue square in the chest. The bullet, a .38, buried itself in Hogue’s Model Y. Hogue drew his service revolver and returned an identical chest shot, fatally wounding his assailant.
We welcome Officer Patrick Hogue, SAVE #321, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
