Officer Hull was one of a half-dozen lawmen answering a robbery-in-progress call at a local gas station. A brief gun battle ensued. One of the discharges by a fellow officer’s 12ga. shotgun deflected off a plate glass window-spraying Hull with 00 buck. Hull’s Model Y2 caught and held two .22 caliber size pellets. Hull recovered from the hit, lunged at the armed felon, and was able to subdue him with the help of his fellow officers.
