Officer Koval’s cruiser, with lights flashing, entered an intersection and was met head-on by another vehicle. Koval’s Model X Second Chance® vest kept Koval from major chest injuries. He was out of the hospital the same day but didn’t return to duty for another month while his facial injuries healed.
