Your body armor saved my life. Those were the words of Deputy Sheriff Kenneth Jones. Jones was involved in a high speed pursuit of a subject wanted for attempted murder, and the subject had a hostage in the car with him. Jones” partner lost control of the car and struck a tree with the right side of the vehicle. Jones sustained serious head and facial trauma, however only had a little soreness in his ribs. After talking to the EMT’s and the doctors they all told Jones that he should have broken his ribs and had internal injuries, but because of his Second Chance® vest, he was able to escape without them.
