Officer Wadley had been on the McCurtain police force only three days when he was shot with a small caliber handgun, believed to be a .38 at a range of approximately ten-feet by a motorist he had just stopped. Wadley had encountered his assailant twice before that day for other minor law infractions and this was his third “strike”. As Wadley left his vehicle to approach the stopped car, the other driver got out and stepped toward the officer. Out came the weapon from the driver’s pocket, firing a round into Wadley’s abdominal area protected by his Second Chance® vest.
We welcome Officer Roger Wadley, SAVE #331, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
