Lieutenant Tracey Risley

On August 13, 1984, Lieutenant Tracey Risley of Fayetteville, Ark., was met by a semi-truck and trailer that turned in front of him. He hit the trailer and was forced underneath and dragged for 35 feet into a parking lot. Risley had to be cut out of his car. He suffered several lacerations to his face and a broken leg, hip and ankle. He also received a few cuts on both sides of his torso not covered by his Second Chance® body armor, but received no major chest injuries.
