She’s inside and she’s got a knife! was the response at the door as Rodriguez and his partner answered this call. As Rodriguez entered the house, a woman, hiding behind the door confronted him with a knife. She lunged at him as he stepped back pulling his gun. When he told her to drop the knife, she threw it at him with the point cutting his uniform shirt just above the badge. The knife bounced off his concealed Second Chance® armor without injuring Rodriguez. The woman, now disarmed, was immediately placed under arrest.
