Officer Kirschman was in pursuit of a subject with outstanding felony warrants. Speeds exceeded 100 MPH at times when all of a sudden the chased car slammed on his brakes. Kirschman turned off the roadway losing control of his car. The car hit a cement canal and then careened into a power pole. Inside the car, Kirschman was bouncing off his steering wheel, windshield, cage and gun rack. Dr. Gould stated the officer would have received several broken ribs with the most serious being a crushed chest or exploded heart resulting in death, had it not been for the Second Chance® vest he was wearing.
We welcome Officer Terry Kirschman, SAVE #338, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
