Cunningham and two other border agents were on patrol in the early morning hours of the 24th of September 1985. Border bandits were preying on illegals crossing the Mexican border. Cunningham came upon a figure on a canyon path. When he flashed his light into the figure’s face, another flash followed by a bang came from the bushes to his right. The agent went down from the bullet’s impact but recovered enough to draw his own weapon and fired at the bushes. His attackers fled in the dark but left their impression on his concealed Second Chance® Model Y armor in the form of a .22 slug.
We welcome Agent Dana Cunningham, SAVE #347, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
