Calm during the storm IDs this save. During a struggle with three burglars, Beijen was shot point blank with his fellow officer’s service revolver, a .357. As the assailant turned to run, Beijen drew his gun and fired warning shots. The assailant dropped the gun and surrendered. Beijen’s Second Chance® vest saved his life and probably the life of his partner. His partner was about to be killed by the criminal.
