While investigating a burglary at a construction site Officer Williams was “ambushed” by an unknown assailant who pumped two .22 rounds into Williams” back, protected by his Second Chance® vest. Williams” on receiving the two hits, fell down a twelve-foot embankment sustaining a back injury in the fall. After spending a week in the local hospital Williams was back on the job of being a law officer and campaigning for the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s job.
