Two days after Officer Porter’s Second Chance® vest stopped a .25 slug from penetrating his chest, Porter was back on duty, wearing the same “life-saving” vest. Porter was surprised by an intruder after he responded to an alarm at a school in Hyde Park. The assailant fired two shots at Porter from a distance of about ten-feet. One shot hit a piano in the hallway but the other slug was dug out of Porter’s soft armor.
