It was almost 4 a.m. when Deputy Craft and his partner responded to a “domestic dispute” call in a local trailer park. A child custody fight between a husband and wife was being won by the husband and the wife wasn’t about to let go. The woman produced a butcher knife and was about to let her old man have it when Craft interceded and received a few nicks and a solid blow to his abdomen by the weapon. The eleven-year-old Second Chance® armor Craft was wearing stopped the blade from turning the incident into a very bloody scene.
