During a 4th of July celebration in 1975, the crowd got a little rowdy. Officer Boyle stepped in to help assist with the disturbance and found himself in danger. The situation got out of hand and Boyle’s Second Chance® vest came between Boyle’s body and the downward thrust of a knife. The vest saved Boyle from any penetration into his skin. He was able to celebrate the holiday with no injury.
