Officer Bouck was slowing down to let a large truck make a wide turn around a corner when a van slipped out from behind the truck and hit Bouck, head-on. Bouck wound up with his nose 2-inches from the windshield and immobile due to the steering wheel crammed against his chest. His Second Chance® saved him, according to AEMT Kappler, from “much more severe, if not fatal,” injuries.
