Officer Norris was sitting in his unit with his door open, questioning a subject about another incident. Without notice, a .45 caliber slug zipped between the open door and his front windshield striking Norris in the upper left chest area, bouncing off his Second Chance® armor and falling to the floor of his unit. The shooter may have been a passing motorist or the shot may have been meant for the subject Norris was questioning.
