It took only five days for Officer Michael Dakin to get used to his new Second Chance® vest and only five more for it to save his life. During a call to a domestic disturbance case, Dakin stepped between two females fighting over a mutual boyfriend. Dakin took a jagged edge of a broken beer bottle in the back. Due to his vest, his shirt was torn but no penetration or damage to the vest, or Officer Dakin.
