Officer Madsen and his partner were called to a silent alarm burglary in a three-story building. After separating for the search, both officers went to the basement area where Madsen’s partner “saw a weapon pointing in his direction” and spontaneously fired his .357. The “armed burglar” was actually his partner, Madsen, whose Second Chance® armor caught and held the .38+P round.
