Sergeant Perez stopped a male on the campus of the University of Washington campus for questioning in a 911 call from a student. After approaching the suspect, a scuffle occurred and Perez received several blows from a knife the man was carrying. Perez’s Second Chance® vest repelled the bladed weapon and left Perez with only minor injuries.
