Burt and his partner used a sledgehammer to gain entrance into a known cycle gang clubhouse. As the door swung open, Burt’s partner turned out of the way exposing Burt to the blast from a gang member’s .357 handgun. Burt’s ten-year old Second Chance® raid jacket stopped the slug from trying to penetrate his abdomen just above his navel. The shooter ran out the back door and quickly surrendered to the awaiting officers.
