Patrolman William Andrews

Oneida City Police Department Oneida NY Saves Club

Patrolman Andrews came into work on October 14, 1975 and put on his brand new Second Chance® vest for the first time, he had no idea how lucky his timing was. An hour and a half later he was dispatched to handle a domestic disturbance at a local home. He arrived to find a 16-year old, under the influence of drugs, and ready to fight. The teenager grabbed a butcher knife from the kitchen and stabbed Andrews three times in the back. His coat and shirt had holes in them, but most importantly, Andrews did not. He did not sustain any injuries from the altercation.

We welcome Patrolman William Andrews, SAVE #47, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
