On Monday, March 19, 1990, at approximately 1:30PM, Officer Evans stopped a vehicle for a tag violation. The driver stepped out of his car and went over to the passenger side to retrieve the requested driver’s license. Instead of a license, out came a blazing .357 magnum. Evans was hit four times; once in each the wrist and ankle and twice in his chest which was protected by his three-week old Second Chance® armor. Evans, knocked to the ground, was able to return fire at the escaping auto striking it 11 out of 15 rounds from his own handgun.
We welcome Officer Brent Evans, SAVE #478, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
