Officer Hammer was seated in his patrol car at a stop light when he was rear-ended by another vehicle. The force pushed Hammer’s car ten feet into a car in front of him. his body was thrown into the steering wheel, the impact bending back the seat frame behind Hammer almost eight-inches. Hammer’s Second Chance® armor protected him from critical injury and had to be cut off him in the hospital ER.
