Officer Stack was struck by another vehicle as he entered an intersection. Although Stack was wearing his seat belt, it was not enough restraint to keep him from striking and bending his steering wheel with his armor protected chest. His CO and physician’s report support the role his vest played in keeping him from more serious chest injuries.
