Deputy Rogers responded to a possible suicide call along with other units. As deputies drove into the driveway a man came out on the front porch with a woman and began shooting at the officers. As Rogal retreated behind his unit, he was struck in the hip and back with .38 slugs from a six-inch revolver. Wearing an old Second Chance® Model X (circa 1975), the back panel of his armor held the slug, stopping any further serious injury. Return fire from his fellow officers caused the assailant’s demise.
We welcome Deputy Rogal Rogers, SAVE #495, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
