Officer Jerry Blair

Louisville Jefferson County Metro Government Louisville KY Saves Club

Officer Blair and his partner responded to a “shots fired” call just before midnight on July 22, 1973. According to the police reports the two officers arrived on the scene shortly after the subject fired a shotgun blast at his father. The subject was still armed and the officers ordered him to drop the weapon. The subject raised his gun and fired at them. Blair took the hit from three-dozen pellets and his Second Chance® vest protected his chest. He was able to return fire and bring down his assailant.

We welcome Officer Jerry Blair SAVE #5, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
