Officer Teresa Hedge was in a high speed pursuit of an armed-robbery suspect. As she rounded a curve, a tire blew on her patrol car. Her vehicle then jumped a curb, went through a chain link fence, and struck a parked school bus in the rear axle. The squad car was demolished on impact. Hedge was wearing her seat belt at the time but still struck the steering wheel and windshield due to the force of the impact and the displacement of the front of her vehicle. Even though she required hospitalization due to her other injuries, Hedge suffered no chest trauma or pain due her wearing her Second Chance® concealable soft body armor.
We welcome Officer Teresa Hedge, SAVE #505, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
