Officer Nott was responding to a disturbance call at a local night spot. At a bend in the road, Nott’s cruiser went into a skid making a 180-degree turn and continuing backward for another 222″. His car then hit some curbing allowing the cruiser to roll over three times before coming to rest on its roof. Nott, not wearing a seatbelt was tumbling into the car and became twisted upside-down around the steering column. A jaws-of-life was used to extricate him. ER physician Blummin attributed the lack of broken bones and trauma around the neck and back area to Nott’s Second Chance® Y2A soft armor he was wearing at the time of the accident.
We welcome Officer Thomas Nott, SAVE #510, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
