Robinson saw a possible DWI make a wide turn at a local intersection and decided to pull the driver over. The subject became irritated when asked to exit the vehicle. The driver came out with a 7″ barrel .22 revolver shooting Robinson in the upper right shoulder. The muzzle blast put powder burns on Robinson’s face and neck. Robinson ran back to his vehicle for cover returning fire at his assailant. Once the .22 was empty the assailant jumped into his car and drove off only to be apprehended at a local restaurant, offering no resistance. Robinson was wearing a Second Chance® Model Y2+ at the time of his save.
We welcome Officer Richard Robinson, SAVE #563, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
