At the relief of watch, Gresko was told about the previous watch that the guard dog had picked up something suspicious but couldn’t find the source. This circumstance may, or may not, have been a factor that a half-hour into Gresko’s watch he was hit in the back by an unknown gunman. Tentative ballistics narrowed the round down to either a .22 or .25 with inconclusive results. The slug struck Gresko two inches above the bottom rear edge of his Second Chance Level II concealed armor. The impact was directly over his spine. The Second Chance® armor was a wedding gift from his wife.
We welcome MP Joseph S. Gresko, SAVE #575, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
