Sgt. Dignan was caught in a barrage of gunfire as he pulled two of his wounded men out of the line of fire. The shooter kept firing his 9mm weapon at the huddled three until Dignan was able to return fire, killing his attacker. After the attack, Dignan discovered two in-and-out holes across the back of his Second Chance® jacket skipping across his spine. Had the armor not caused the bullet to skid across the back panel, the bullet would have caused serious back injury if not a mortal wound.
We welcome Sergeant Peter Dignan, SAVE #618, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
