A Christmas present from his wife and children paid off in full on the evening of March 13, 1976. Lieutenant Anthony Ferrigno was making evening inspections was he was approached by a young boy screaming that a man was beating up kids down the road. When he arrived at the scene, he found a crowd of about 25-30 and the subject in the middle wildly swinging an ice pick. Ferrigno struggled with the subject, and after securing him in cuffs around his wrists and ankles, Ferrigno noticed a hole in his shirt, below his right pocket. The ice pick had penetrated his vest, but did not cause any injury. Ferrigno required no medical attention and returned to full duty.
We welcome Lieutenant Anthony Ferrigno, SAVE #62, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
