The Second Chance® Comfort Lite II armor worn by Trooper Boe saved her life when a drunk driver opened fire on her. Boe stopped a pick up in the early morning hours. On approaching the vehicle, the driver exited with a .32 handgun firing at her. Boe was shot in the back as she turned away from the shooter. Two .32 slugs impacted her back panel and stopped. The shooter fled the scene but turned himself in to the authorities later. Boe was treated for minor injuries and released.
