Corporal Jensen was investigating a “hit-and-run” by interviewing a probable suspect. As he was attempting to place the suspect in custody, the subject broke free and ran away. After going approximately fifteen-feet, the subject turned and fired a shot from his .380 semi-auto handgun striking Jensen in the chest. He continued to run from the scene with other officers in pursuit. He was later captured and hospitalized for gunshot wounds from the police. Jensen was wearing a Second Chance® Monarch II vest with a K30 trauma plate.
We welcome Corporal Gary Jensen, SAVE #691, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
