Officer Joyner was working stakeout at a grocery mart when the expected robbery went down. The robber struck Joyner on the head with his shotgun barrel and while lying on the floor, shot Joyner in the chest with 00 buck from a 12ga. Thanks to his Second Chance® vest, Joyner received nothing more than surface bruises about 5 inches in diameter. Gainesville Director of Police Services, Courtney Roberts, expressed appreciation for the vest that was “proven under fire during field conditions.”
We welcome Officer Herman Joyner, SAVE #71, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
