Officer Croymans responded to a burglar alarm at a service station. As he was checking out the outside of the building several shots were fired through the front window, from the inside, one of the rounds fired from a Tech 9, struck Croymans in his K30 plate of his Level IIA Second Chance® soft armor. Not realizing he had been hit, Croymans returned fire and began to chase the suspects on foot. K-9 help arrived and the suspects were apprehended after a 21³2 hour search. Croymans was taken to an area hospital and released.
