FBI Agent McCann was on a routine undercover foot surveillance when this shooting occurred. He came to the aid of a man lying in the street who was feigning injury. As McCann bent over to give assistance, the man stuck a handgun into McCann’s stomach and demanded the agent’s wallet. McCann identified himself as an FBI agent and the man fired his weapon into McCann’s stomach. The two shots caused only “two strawberry bruise marks,” because of the Second Chance® vest McCann was wearing. The weapon used was a .22 handgun.
