Sgt. Schak stopped his marked police car to talk with a suspicious male standing alone in an alley. As he approached, the subject drew a .32 semi-auto handgun from his pocket, shooting Schak just below his badge. Although the force of the impact knocked Schak down, he was able to draw his own weapon and return fire at his escaping assailant. Schak was wearing his department issued Second Chance® 322ZII concealed armor at the time of this shooting.
We welcome Sergeant Richard Schak, SAVE #762, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
