Officer Kellett responded to an “unattended child crying” call. On arrival at the house in Ewa, he was met at the front door by a female. The women opened the screen door and when he opened the door more, the main door began to close. When he stopped the door from closing, a .45 caliber pistol came from behind the main door and fired at him. The bullet went through his right arm and into his Second Chance® Monarch vest. The main door closed and Kellett retreated to cover. Subsequently, the male subject shot the woman and then himself.
We welcome Officer Richard Kellett, SAVE #803, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
