Officer Moody and his partner responded to a call to check on a female resident not answering her phone or door. Approaching the trailer, Moody identified himself after knocking on the trailer door several times. Just then a shot rang out and a .22 slug ripped through the door and into Moody’s chest. Moody was wearing his Second Chance® vest and penetration into his body was deterred.
