While investigating a suspicious person complaint, an assault was made on a Michigan State Trooper. The suspect, without warning thrust the knife downward and then struck the trooper in the chest area. The knife, a 7 inch fish fillet knife, according to reports, “crinkled like an accordion” upon impact with the trooper’s Second Chance® vest.
