Officer Lanoue’s unit was stopped behind back-up traffic when another vehicle, failing to control its speed, rammed into Lanoue’s rear end, throwing the officer into the steering column. His Monarch IIA with T15 plate saved Lanoue from major chest trauma as stated by Dr. Patrick in his letter to Second Chance®.
