Deputy Woods was making an incident report on a suspect standing in a yard waving a knife. Deputy Woods approached the suspect and attempted to talk the suspect out of the weapon. The suspect would no yield. As Deputy Woods approached the suspect to disarm her, she tried to slash him and hit his body armor three times about 1″ above the waist. The suspected was then maced, taken to the ground and disarmed. Deputy Woods” Second Chance® armor saved his from serious stabbing injuries.
