Detective Soufi was involved in a drug search warrant that took place during the evening at a residence in the outskirts of the city. As the search warrant was being executed, the suspect ran out of the house towards a wooded area. Detective Soufi pursued the suspect, both were running at a full speed in the dark when they ran over the riverbank and dropped approximately thirty feet to the frozen ground. According to Dr. Clement Lang, Elamine was protected from serious torso injuries because he was wearing his Second Chance® Body Armor.
