Deputy Jamie Huske

Shawnee County Sheriff’s Department Topeka KS Saves Club

Deputy Huske was directing traffic at an accident scene. While directing traffic, he was struck by a pickup truck traveling at a high rate of speed. When he was struck, he was thrown approximately 100 feet and came down in a badly mangled mess. He sustained a fracture of the right femur and some deep cuts. According to the attending physician “Despite this high velocity trauma, Deputy Huske sustained no chest injury.” According to First Responders at the scene, his Second Chance® Body Armor significantly decreased his injuries and recovery time and certainly may have played a major role in saving his life.

We welcome Deputy Jamie Huske, SAVE #848, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
