Officer Kang was thankful that he was wearing his Second Chance® Body Armor when he was working bicycle patrol in Los Angeles. He was in the middle lane and was turning left when he collided with a red Maxima turning right. Officer Kang was thrown from his bike and over the hood of the Maxima. He received a number of injuries including laceration on his body as well as injury to his lower back. According to Officer Kang’s physician, his Second Chance® Body Armor prevented him from sustaining further injury to his back.
