Officer Meier was hit broadside by a speeder. The other car was going at least 50 mph at the time of the impact. The seat belt gave way during the impact and allowed Meier’s body to hit the steering wheel. There was bruising and abrasions over Meier’s entire body except for the areas covered by his Second Chance® armor.The attending physician was confident when he said, “his body armor played a significant roll in saving Officer Meier.”
